Chapter II · One company, one kitchen, one contact
Best Events — Draguignan, Var — was founded in 2016 by Robin Dubois. At heart it's a kitchen, with its own chefs. Around it: a network of venues and partners, and a sister company, Riviera Loc Events, that rents furniture and marquees.

Your dinner is cooked at your venue, in a kitchen the team installs on site, not reheated after a drive from a central kitchen.

Furniture, tableware and table linens are part of your budget, alongside the food and the service.
Venues we work with
36 partner venues: 8 châteaux, 16 wine estates, Provençal country houses (bastides), catamarans, a convent and a seaside venue. You choose the setting; the venue is part of your budget.

20 selected partners, among them photographers, videographers, musicians, florists and pastry chefs. Your budget already covers a DJ, flowers, photography and videography.

The team arrives first
Six hours before your first guest, the team is at the venue. The kitchen is installed on site, the furniture goes up, the tables are set. You get ready elsewhere; the set-up isn't yours to watch.

A ceremony in front of your guests
A civil wedding in France needs a lasting tie to the town, as the questions below explain. If you marry legally in your home country instead, you can say your vows here, in a symbolic ceremony in front of your guests. We can recommend an officiant and coordinate them, as an option.
Evening
Dinner, cooked where you eat it
The chefs cook at the venue, not in a central kitchen to be chilled and reheated. You choose from three house menus: Braséro, Perfect Wedding and Signature. For seven to ten hours depending on the menu, one server for every fifteen guests looks after your tables, and you stay at yours.
Through the evening
Your wines, poured by us
Bring the wines you love. We open them, serve them and charge nothing for it. The DJ, the photographer and the videographer are part of your budget, coordinated with the kitchen.
The next morning
The venue, handed back
The venue is returned as it was found, with nothing for you to take down.

From €60,000 including VAT, for about 80 guests: a starting price, and your detailed quote gives the exact figure. Your own wine is opened and served with no corkage fee.
Coordination is part of that budget: our agency fee is 10% of the total.

A tasting in Draguignan
If you book a tasting, a chef cooks for the two of you for an hour and a half to two hours, in our kitchen in Draguignan, with your project manager. €150 for two, deducted in full from your quote when you sign.

The wedding day, with one contact
One contact, from the first meeting to the wedding day, and nothing changes without your agreement. The next morning, the venue is handed back with nothing for you to take down.

How much does a wedding in the south of France cost with Best Events, and what does it cover?
With Best Events, a turnkey wedding in the south of France starts at €60,000 including VAT, for about 80 guests. That budget covers a partner venue, food cooked on site by our chefs, service, furniture, tableware and table linens, coordination, a DJ, flowers, photography and videography. Flights and guest lodging are not covered.
Our agency fee for coordination is 10% of the total. An officiant for a symbolic ceremony is available as an option, billed on top.
Where can we marry legally in France?
A civil wedding in France is held in a town where one of you, or one of your parents, has their domicile or residence. Residence means having lived there continuously for at least one month when the banns are published. Otherwise, you can marry legally in your home country and hold a symbolic ceremony in France.

When should we book, and which dates go first?
Ask as early as your date allows: at Best Events, Saturdays from May to September are the first dates to go. If one of them is your date, say so on your discovery call. When you sign your quote, you pay a 30% deposit, and the balance 15 days before your wedding.
