Chapter I · The short answer

Best Events works with 36 partner venues in the south of France, from an intimate house for up to 50 guests to Château de Ventavon, which takes up to 500. Most are in the Var, around our kitchen in Draguignan; the others are in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Haute-Provence, the Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes-Maritimes.

Every venue is part of the same budget as the food, the service and the coordination: a turnkey wedding starts at €60,000 including VAT, for about 80 guests. You choose the setting; one contact handles the rest.

Capacities and features come from each venue's own listing. Availability depends on your date: ask on your discovery call.

Châteaux

From intimate houses to estates for several hundred guests, each with outdoor space for the ceremony and a long dinner outside.

Wine estates

Wine estates, most of them set among vineyards. Château de Saint Martin, in Taradeau, is a Côtes de Provence cru classé. Your own wines are opened and served with no corkage fee.

By the sea and on the water

A seafront venue in Hyères, 5 catamarans based in Hyères, Saint-Raphaël, Marseille and the Baie des Anges marina, and a helipad deck on the Cannes seafront.

Country houses, a convent, a ranch and a farm

Smaller, quieter settings: Provençal country houses, a former convent in Haute-Provence, a ranch near Fréjus and a farm in the Hautes-Alpes, by the Écrins National Park.

Chapter III · Five questions that narrow the choice

How many guests?

Maximum capacities range from 50 guests to 500. For a long guest list, 7 venues take 250 guests or more: Château de Ventavon, Château de Roquefeuille, Domaine le Billardier, Castel Bay, Château de Saint Martin, Château Grand Boise and Château Pas du Cerf.

Who sleeps on site?

18 venues offer accommodation on site, which keeps your guests together for the weekend and spares them a drive after dinner.

Inside or outside?

30 venues have outdoor space for the ceremony and the dinner. Our chefs set up a kitchen on site either way, so the menu does not change with the setting.

Sea or vines?

7 venues are on the water or look out to sea, 5 of them catamarans; 16 sit among vineyards.

Which date?

Saturdays from May to September are the first dates to go. If one of them is your date, say so on your discovery call and we will tell you which venues are still free.

Chapter IV · One team at every venue

At every venue on this page, the same team cooks, serves and coordinates. The chefs install a kitchen on site; furniture, tableware and table linens come with them; one contact deals with the venue, the florist and the DJ.

A turnkey wedding with Best Events starts at €60,000 including VAT, for about 80 guests: venue, food, service, furniture, coordination, DJ, flowers, photography and videography in one budget. Our coordination fee is 10% of the total.

How many wedding venues does Best Events work with in the south of France?

Which venues take the largest weddings?

7 of our partner venues take 250 guests or more: Château de Ventavon, Château de Roquefeuille, Domaine le Billardier, Castel Bay, Château de Saint Martin, Château Grand Boise and Château Pas du Cerf. The largest, Château de Ventavon in Ventavon, takes up to 500 guests.

Which venues can host our guests overnight?

18 of our partner venues offer accommodation on site, among them Castel Bay, Château de Ventavon, Couvent Notre-Dame des Prés and Château la Martinette. Ask on your discovery call which ones fit your guest count and your date.

Is the venue part of the wedding budget?

Yes. With Best Events, a turnkey wedding starts at €60,000 including VAT, for about 80 guests, and the partner venue is part of that budget, alongside the food, the service, the coordination, the DJ, flowers, photography and videography. Your quote gives the exact figure.

Can we get married legally at the venue?

A civil wedding in France takes place at the town hall of a town where one of you, or a parent, has their domicile or has lived there continuously for at least a month when the banns are published. At the venue, you can hold a symbolic ceremony in front of your guests.
